We met thanks to a missed appointment, a bold dad, and a very successful blind date.
When Tim’s dad invited him to tag along to his appointment, he casually mentioned that his doctor was a young, beautiful woman. Tim said “sure, why not,” but they ended up mixing up the dates and Tim never made it to the appointment. Not to be deterred, his dad did what any loving (and slightly mischievous) parent would do — he got her number and decided to play matchmaker.
Neither of us knew anything about the other, but when we were asked if we’d like to be set up on a blind date, we both unknowingly said the same thing: “Sure, why not.”
Tim texted her the day after her birthday (great timing, right?) and to his surprise, she actually texted back. A few days later, we met in person for the first time at City Winery.
Tim was so nervous that he arrived almost 30 minutes early — enough time to ask the hostess if they could do something small and sweet for the table since her birthday had just passed.
When she finally walked in, that was it. Sparks flew, nerves disappeared, and what started as a blind date turned into the best decision we never actually made ourselves.
